A surreal and apocalyptic fever dream, The War / Nothing More follows four men as they battle to save their northern home, ravaged by wildfire. Set in a strange alternate universe, this video weaves through a charred, smoke-filled landscape, full of eerie illusions. The men, having emerged from the belly of a narwhal, hold the last four ‘seeds’ capable of regenerating their world. As they journey toward their doom, the video captures the intense, unsettling chaos of wildfires and their regenerative power. A raw catharsis of life, pain, and rebirth, this visual experience was crafted by aRTLeSS Collective with support from the Government of the Northwest Territories.
