Who we are
Artless Collective is a film and digital media studio in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The person responsible for privacy here is Pablo Saravanja, who leads Artless Collective, reachable at info@artlesscollective.com.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us
Your name, email, organization if you give one, what the project is for, a rough budget and timing if you give them, and your message. We also note which page you wrote from and any code in the link that brought you here (such as the QR code on a festival ad), so we know how people find us. We use it to reply to you and to plan and price your project.
When you join the crew list
Your name, email, what you do, your home community and a link to your work if you give one. We use it only to contact you about work. The crew list is private: it's never published, and only Artless Collective sees it.
When you sign up for the newsletter
Your email address, to send you the newsletter. Every issue has a link to unsubscribe.
When you appear in our credits
If you've worked with us, your name may appear in a project's credits. A profile page with your details appears only with your written consent, and comes down when you ask.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use advertising trackers. Our analytics don't use cookies and don't identify you.
Where it's kept
We use a few services to run the site. Some store information outside Canada, mostly in the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts the site, counts visits without cookies, plays our films, and checks that forms are sent by people, not bots.
- Airtable stores contact messages and the crew list, and emails us when a new one arrives.
- Beehiiv stores newsletter subscribers and sends the newsletter.
Information stored in another country can be subject to that country's laws, including access by its authorities.
How long we keep it
Contact messages and crew-list entries are kept for two years after we were last in touch, then deleted. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email info@artlesscollective.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, including taking you off the crew list or taking down a profile. We'll reply within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
